A luscious pair of rich red Rosarita Glass Slag cabochons rest in settings carefully hand fabricated from solid Argentium (935) Silver! I've used feathers in my work for some time, but recently challenged myself to make them 'come to life' a little bit more - making them a little bit 3-D, if you will.... Each feather in my designs is totally and completely hand cut, textured, stamped, and soldered...I don't even use a template or trace a pattern - I just cut free hand! I love how this ensures a One-Of-A-Kind design each and every time!
What is Rosarita?
Rosarita is a by-product of an old gold mining technique - it is actually glass slag, and is seen in colors ranging from yellow to orange to this rich red...it is said that the darker the red, the more gold content!
Each earring hangs from a solid Argentium (935) Silver 20 gauge ear wire, which is soldered to the back making these earrings a one-piece design.
My signature heart is stamped on the reverse of each.
The finish is rustic oxidized, highlighting the texture and design in the silver!
Incredibly lightweight, and one-of-a-kind!

Azteca Designs jewelry is hand-fabricated one unique piece at a time by me! Most of my work features intentional oxidation and patina. This finish is not meant to be removed, however, a small polishing cloth is included with silver jewelry orders and you may use this to gently clean your silver jewelry if it begins to tarnish.
Some gemstones are more delicate than others. Please wear pieces with care. I recommend removing all jewelry before strenuous activity or bathing/swimming.
